Little Fears

Little Fears is the RPG of childhood terror, from Key 20 Publishing. The PCs are all children between the ages of six and twelve, whose innocence is both an affront to and their main defense against the forces of darkness, represented by the denizens of Closetland. Scenarios range from grim and gritty, through disturbed childhood whimsy and all the way to modern day fairy tales.

This is a fairly rules-light system with a workable, if somewhat inconsistent, set of mechanics. The background and the opportunity to play children makes the game come alive, though. The themes explored tend to be very dark and it is recommended only for mature players.
